Massimo Sunseri Joins BSI Racing for Toyota GR Cup
Daytona, Fl -
BSI Racing is pleased to announce the addition of Massimo Sunseri for the 2025 Toyota GR Cup season. Sunseri marks the second driver in the GR Cup for BSI this season, joining newly signed and 2024 Rookie of the Year, Westin Workman.
At 16-years old, Sunseri joins BSI from the High-Performance karting world and advanced driving events. With six years of experience under his belt, Sunseri has competed at the regional and national levels. The rookie from Pittsburgh, PA will pilot the No. 51 Toyota GR 86 this season. Plus, Massimo is an expert skier, at least according to him that is.
“I’m very excited to be with BSI this season. This is a big step for me and my goals of racing professionally, so I can’t wait to get out there and compete with the team. I have a lot to learn, but I’m ready for the challenge.”
With seat time being crucial for the young driver, BSI and Sunseri have taken advantage of testing at tracks like the Circuit of the Americas and Sebring International Raceway, two stops on the Toyota GR Cup schedule later in the season, in preparation for the competition ahead.
“It has been a pleasure working with Massimo and getting him acclimated to the car,” said Team Owner Shea Holbrook.
“We appreciate how serious he’s taking his preparation for the season. Spec racing is tough and at times unforgiving with the level of competition. We’re thrilled to have him on board this season and can’t wait to help him get where he wants to be in his career.”
Sunseri makes his GR Cup debut at Sonoma Raceway this March.
