BSI Racing is set to bring five drivers to Elkhart, Wisconsin for Rounds 9 & 10 of the Toyota GR Cup, at Road America.
Maddie Aust, Steven Clemons, Maximilian Hewitt, and Jordan RickSegrini return to the grid, hoping to capitalize off of a successful stint at Virginia International Raceway, last month. Steven Clemons showed out to the tune of a Hard Charger award in race one with a personal best finish, while Max Hewitt posted his best finish of the year, earning a P4 result.
With the usual cast returning to the grid, BSI Racing is excited to add Japanese driver Yuki Sano, via Toyota Racing Development. Sano will pilot the #35 Toyota Gazoo Racing North America GR Cup car.
Sano, just 17 years old, competes in Formula 4 in Japan.
“Very excited to be back on track in the GR Cup this weekend,” said BSI Racing owner, Shea Holbrook.
“I think we can safely all say that we love Road America and Elkhart Lake. It’s a special track with a fantastic racing culture, so it’s always a treat to be back here. It’s going to be a lot of fun for our drivers who have never been here, and we’re thrilled to add Yuki to our lineup.”
Holbrook continued.
“We love the opportunity to work with him and Toyota. Road America is another fast, technical track, so this presents a great opportunity for him and all of our drivers to go out and compete at a really high level.”
Race fans will have the opportunity to meet the drivers of BSI Racing at the SRO Parade and Welcome party, beginning at 5PM at the famous Siebkens Resort. Fans will be able to meet Toyota GR Cup drivers as well as the drivers from GT World Challenge and GT America during the event, and it is free to the public.
