BSI Racing is set to bring five drivers to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for rounds 9 & 10 of the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, presented by Michelin.
Canadian National and Alberta native, Jonathan Neudorf will get to race in his home country for the first time in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup. Neudorf will look to earn his first podium in the series in-front of a home crowd atmosphere.
Heather Hadley, Christian Hodneland, Westin Workman and Connor Zilisch fill out the remaining roster for the trip over the northern border.
Workman, having a busy summer behind the wheel, looks to add another podium to his growing resume. The Sebring winner narrowly missed a podium last month at Mid-Ohio, now brings his talent and momentum to the field at Mosport.
After nabbing his first win of the season in the series at Mid-Ohio, Connor Zilisch returns to the BSI Racing lineup to pilot the No. 72 with a new silver and black Silver Hare Racing livery. Zilisch since secured a win in the ARCA Menard’s series just last month, giving the soon-to-be 18-year old his second win in that series.
Heather Hadley, having earned multiple Top Finishing Female awards this season, looks to return to the podium in the white and blue Shift Up Now livery.
“We bounced back in a great way at Mid-Ohio last month”, said Team Owner and Principal Shea Holbrook.
“I know we’re capable of putting any one of our drivers on the podium, so I like where we stand heading into the weekend. The crew has done a fantastic job prepping our cars, so we expect fast lap times. It’s been awhile since we’ve been back at Mosport, but I’m excited for us to race here. It’s a great track and I think we have a great opportunity in front of us.”
Practice begins on Friday, July 12th at 9:20 EST with races on Saturday and Sunday.
