Racing driver Steven Clemons of Clemons Racing will enter the VP Racing Fuels Challenge with BSI Racing for the 2025 season. Clemons will pilot the no. 76 Toyota Supra GT4 car for the IMSA sanctioned series.
Clemons, now 21 years old, has spent the past two seasons with BSI Racing running in the Toyota GR Cup in SRO. Clemons boasted multiple top 10 finishes in the 2024 campaign, while earning a Hard Charger award at VIR. In two full seasons of GR Cup, Clemons steadily improved his results in the spec series.
Steven’s entrance will mark his second opportunity competing under the IMSA flag with his first coming in the 2023 Whelen (previously Idemitsu) MX-5 Cup opener at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona where he finished P24 and P18.
“If you would have told me that just four years ago I would’ve gone from no experience to racing a GT4 Supra in VP Challenge, I wouldn’t believe you,” said Steven Clemons.
“I still very much see myself as the kid that wanted a track day for my 17th birthday, but now I’m 21 and I’ll be competing in one of the highest levels of racing with BSI. I’m grateful for the opportunity and the support of the people who have gotten me here. It’s time to put my efforts and training into results.”
This will also mark BSI’s second entrance in the VP Challenge. BSI was fortunate to run the same Toyota Supra GT4 car in 2024 at the Roar Before the 24 where they captured a fourth and sixth place finish in their only appearance in the season. BSI and Clemons racing will now tackle a full season in a GT4 car for the first time.
“This is incredibly exciting for us at BSI,” said team owner Shea Holbrook.
“It’s exciting for us and for the Clemons family to push into GT4 ranks. We’ve built this ladder system into pro-racing and it’s great for us to do that with Steven over the past few years. We’ve really been fortunate to have a great relationship with Toyota Racing Development through our GR Cup program, and with Steven going through that series, I think he’ll succeed here.”
Clemons and BSI Racing will make their VP Challenge season debut on January 17th, 2025 at the Roar Before the 24 in Daytona, Florida.
